The Prime Minister has confirmed the existence of strong cooperation between Thailand and India, while pledging full support and business guarantees for Indian investors.
During his official visit to India, Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha made a courtesy visit to Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, during which they discussed stronger cooperation between the two countries while following up on the progress of issues discussed during their February meeting in Thailand.
The focus of the follow-up talks included both countries’ policies to promote trade, investment and tourism that will help strengthen ties and encourage mutual understanding among Indians and Thais.
The two also discussed the development of the connectivity project to make Thailand and India the gateways of ASEAN and South Asia.
Later, Gen. Prayut attended the Thai-Indian business seminar and a dinner reception organized by the Thai Embassy in India and three business associations of India, during which talks on economic cooperation to facilitate the endeavors of both nations’ investors took place.
