The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense has traveled to the Republic of India on an official visit to strengthen bilateral ties.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has led a delegation that includes Permanent Secretary of Defense Gen Preecha Chan-ocha, Supreme Army Commander Gen Sommai Kaotira, Secretary-General of the National Council for Peace and Order Gen Taweep Netniyom and Deputy Minister of Commerce Suwit Mesinsee, on an official visit of India extending until tomorrow.
The mission will focus on strengthening ties between the 2 countries and expanding cooperation on economics and security. The deputy prime minister is scheduled to meet with India’s Vice President, Minister of Defense and the nation’s security advisor.
The trip follows an official visit to Thailand by India’s Vice President in February of this year, which was organized by the Thai government to develop its relations with India ahead of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and India next year.
