BANGKOK, 15th March 2017 (NNT) - The Ministry of Labor has confirmed is policy of developing the capabilities of Thailand’s human resources to accommodate the Thailand 4.0 agenda.
Minister of Labor, Gen Sirichai Distakul said today that Thailand must adjust its labor development strategy to coincide with the government’s 20-year strategic national plan as well as the 20-year plan on human resource development by the Ministry of Labor. This year, the Department of Skills development has established 12 centers to serve as role model institutions for advanced skills development, create wage and job opportunity incentives for people to receive training and certification for their skills, and incorporating e-testing platforms in ensuring credibility for skill quality assurance.
The Minister of Labor also inaugurated a campaign to collaborate with the state and private sector in providing services during the Songkran festival between April 11 and 17. Services consist of preliminary vehicle checkups, training on safe-driving practices, and service stops along roads across the country.
