OEI, 19th February 2017 (NNT) - The northeastern province of Loei has kicked off a campaign to attract visitors to Chiang Khan district.

The campaign is aimed at promoting constructive tourism by introducing travelers to attractions and activities that allow them to explore and appreciate the culture and lifestyle of Chiang Khan people.

Highlights of Chiang Khan include a train sightseeing trip to the old quarter, excursions along the Mekong River, tours of fishing and handicraft villages, cultural performances by ethnic groups and art exhibitions.

Cultural activities are also being held on Fridays and Saturdays from now until 11th March in the cultural grounds near the Mekong River in Chiang Khan district.
