BANGKOK, 5 October 2016 (NNT) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired the opening ceremony for the ASEAN Youth Representatives in Experiencing the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy (AY-REPSE 2016, Thailand)

On the auspicious occasion of “the Seventieth Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Ascension to the Throne” and “the Celebrations on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s Seventh-Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 12th August 2016”, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister co-organized the ASEAN Youth Representatives in Experiencing the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy. The 14 days-program will continue until 17 October 2016.

The first ASEAN Youth Representatives in Experiencing the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy are encouraged to adhere to the guidelines for sustainable development in their own countries. He said that it is the great opportunity to launch connectivity networks for ASEAN youths in realizing the aims of the ASEAN community.

All 70 youth representatives from the 10 ASEAN countries participating in this program will be provided the opportunity to learn, practice and experience the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy through theory, site visits of royal initiatives in the regions, and participation in related activities.
