BANGKOK, 8 September 2016 (NNT) – The Public Relations Department (PRD) has organized an activity to bolster confident throughout its international network towards the government’s Thailand 4.0 model.

PRD Director-General Apinan Juntarungsri launched the activity at Golden Tulip Hotel under the title “Thailand 4.0: Towards Sustainable Development”. The activity is being organized by the PRD’s international office and brings together media members from across the globe as well as embassy representatives.

Apinan explained that the event was established to promote the Thailand 4.0 concept, which seeks to adapt the country towards a Value-Based Economy that is based on innovation and sustainable technological advancements. The aim of the activity is to ensure understanding towards the concept and the government’s wishes for its fruition.

Deputy Minister of Commerce Suwit Mesinsee was also at the opening to give a speech titled “Driving Thailand 4.0”, detailing the model. Another notable speaker was Director of Software Park Thailand Chalerm Tujinda on Thai startups under the Thailand 4.0 model.
