Royal Thai Consulate-General led Thai delegation from SERT to visit universities in Tamil Nadu

During 16-18 February 2015, Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General in Chennai, led the Thai delegation from School of Renewable Energy Technology (SERT), Naresuan University, of 4 persons led by Dr. Sukruedee Sukchai, Director of SERT, to visit universities and research institutes in Tamil Nadu to promote technical cooperation between Thailand and India.

The visit of SERT delegation aims to visit universities and research institute of Tamil Nadu in the field of renewable energy technology and electrical engineering and to promote the technical and educational collaboration between Naresuan University and 3 universities namely (1) Hindustan University (2) VIT University และ (3) AVIT, Vinayaka Missions University.  

The visit is also the consequences after Naresuan University granted a full scholarship for Hindustan University students and lecturers to study in SERT for Master Degree and PhD last year.

Deputy Consul-General and SERT delegates are very warm welcome by the three universities that express keen interest on SERT research works and willing to collaborate with SERT and Naresuan University in terms of joint research and exchange program of lecturers and students. 

SERT Director views that there are possibility for Naresuan University to sign MOU with Hindustan University in October 2015 and will consider to work on the future collaboration with VIT and AVIT Vinayaka Missions University, respectively. Three universities have great potential and strength in renewable energy and engineering related research.
