BANGKOK, 11th May 2017 (NNT) - Thailand has welcomed the Air Component Commander for the US Pacific Command, Gen Terrence J O’Shaughnessy on his visit to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Thailand’s Chief of Defense Forces, General Surapong Suwan-ath welcomed Gen O’Shaughnessy on his first visit after receiving his new appointment. Gen O’Shaughnessy confirmed the commitment of the United States towards joint military operations, particularly the Cobra Gold Asia-Pacific military exercise which is regularly held to ensure readiness in maintaining regional security.

Gen Surapong also confirmed Thailand’s commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries.
