On Friday 29 July 2016, the Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen inaugurated the “Thailand Week 2016 Bengaluru” held in the Lalit Ashok Bangalore. The Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Mumbai, Mr Ekapol Poolpipat was the special guest. The Welcome speech was delivered by Ms Suvimol Tilokruangchai, Execuitve Director and Consul Commercial, Thai Trade Centre in Mumbai. The Consul-General, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen delivered her opening speech and lighted the lamp along with Mr Ekapol Poolpipat, Ms Suvimol Tilokruangchai and Mr Raju Bhatnagar who had come from the Chamber. After which the Thai Expo started and there were 38 stalls displaying variety of Thai products from dresses, cosmetics, food, Thai delicacies and pet products. The Bengaluru people attended the most awaited expo and made use of the opportunity to the best to buy their favourite products.
