เมื่อวันที่ ๑ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๙ นาย C.S Muthu Subramaniyan ตำแหน่ง President of India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chennai และนาย P. Gopalakrishna ตำแหน่ง Secretary of India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chennai  ได้เข้าพบกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองเจนไนเพื่อทำความรู้จักและหารือเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางด้านเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับอินเดีย โดยเฉพาะเรื่องการส่งเสริมการค้าและการลงทุนของไทยและอินเดียตอนใต้ การเชื่อมโยงระหว่างท่าเรือเมืองเจนไนกับท่าเรือของประเทศไทย และการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนระหว่างนักธุรกิจไทยและอินเดีย

On 1^st August 2016, Mr. C.S Muthu Subramaniyan, President of India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chennai together with Mr. P. Gopalakrishna, Secretary met Consul-General at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai and discussed about the way to promote economic relatives between Thailand and India particularly in the area of trade and investment between Thailand and Southern India, Connection between Chennai and ports in Thailand and the exchange of business visit between Thai delegations and India delegations.
