เมื่อวันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2559 นางสาวพรพิมล สุคันธวณิช รองกงสุลใหญ่ ได้เดินทางไปยังเมือง Cuddalore เพื่อถวายพระพุทธรูปหินสลักขององค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าและรูปแกะสลักหินขององค์พระพุทธมารดา เพื่อเป็นพระประธานและประดิษฐานที่ Maha Bodhi Buddha Vihar & Mahamaya Temple รวมทั้งได้มอบชุดนิทรรศการเผยแพร่พุทธประวัติ คำสอนหลักของศาสนาพุทธแก่วัด/สถานปฏิบัติธรรมดังกล่าว ต่อจากนั้น รองกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีสวดมนต์และปฏิบัติธรรมในโอกาสวันอาสาฬหบูชาโดยพระภิกษุ ผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนจากโรงเรียนประถม  Maha Bodhi Buddha Vihar เข้าร่วม  การถวายพระประธานและชุดนิทรรศการเพื่อเผยแพร่พระพุทธศาสนานี้ ได้รับการสนับสนุนงบประมาณจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของไทย

On 21 July 2016,  Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General, visited Maha Bodhi Buddha Vihar & Mahamaya Temple, and provided partly financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand, to the purchase of Buddha Statue, and Mahamaya Statue, to be located at the temple.  Deputy Consul-General also offered the temple a set of 5 Mobile Roll-up banners describing the story of Buddhism, Buddha life and Buddha’s major preaching, and participated in the pray on the occasion of Asalha Bucha Day celebration together with Buddhist monks, parents and students from the school of Maha Bodhi Buddha Vihar & Mahamaya Temple.
