เมื่อวันที่ 7 มิถุนายน 2559 นางสาวพรพิมล สุคันธวณิช รองกงสุลใหญ่ รักษาราชการแทนกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองเจนไน ได้เข้าร่วมงานฉลองครบรอบ 100 ปี และงานเปิดตัวหนังสือซึ่งประพันธืโดยคณะอาจารย์ของ Women's Christian College เมืองเจนไน โดยระหว่างการจัดงาน รักษาการกงสุลใหญ่ ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดีกับวิทยาลัย และคณะจารย์ที่ได้มีความวิสาหวิริยะในการจัดทำหนังสือรวม 4 เล่ม ได้แก่ 100 Fascinating Fauna of Women's Christian College, Minor Millets and Complementary Foods, Restructing the Gender Archetype และ Kenyan Odyssey รวมทั้งได้แนะนำประเทศไทยว่าเป็นสยามเมืองยิ้ม มีศิลปะวัฒนธรรม และประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนาน รวมทั้งมีชื่อเสียงในด้านสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่งดงาม และอาหารที่อร่อยแบบเฉพาะตัว พร้อมได้เรียนเชิญคณาจารยฺ์และนักเรียน/นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมงานกว่า 350 คน ไปท่องเที่ยวยังประเทศไทยและกลับมาเขียนหนังสือเกีี่ยวกับประเทศไทยด้วย

On 7 June 2016 Ms. Pornpimol Suganchavanija, Deputy Consul-General and Acting Consul-General, was invited as Chief Guest to the Centenary Event and Launch of books written by the lecturers at Women's Christian College.  Acting Consul-General congratulated to the Colleged for the college's centenary celebrations and to the authors for their efforts taken to publish the College's books namely 100 Fascinating Fauna of Women's Christian College, Minor Millets and Complementary Foods, Restructing the Gender Archetype and Kenyan Odyssey.  In her speech, Acting Consul-General also introduced Thailand stating that Thailand is called "Land of Smile" and is widely known for its cutural and and historic importance as well as the beautiful toursit destinations and  exotic Thai cusine.  She also invites the College's lecturers and around 350 students who participated in the function to visit Thailand and write books about Thailand.
