สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้จัดกิจกรรมสาธิตอาหารไทยแก่สื่อมวลชนและบุคคลทั่วไปที่สนใจอาหารไทย ระหว่างการจัดงาน Superchef Chennai, International Food Carnival 2016 เมื่อวันที่ 21 กุมภาพันธ์ 2559 ณ เมืองเจนไน ระหว่างเวลา 16.00 น.–22.00 น. โดยร่วมกับร้านอาหาร Thai Food House ซึ่งเป็นร้านจำหน่ายอาหารไทยประเภท Street Food ในเมืองเจนไน แสดงการสาธิตการทำอาหารไทย โดยพ่อครัวชาวไทย  ได้สาธิตการทำผัดไท ทั้งแบบมังสวิรัติและแบบใส่เนื้อไก่ และการทำส้มตำแบบมังสวิรัติ  ทั้งนี้ การจัดงาน Superchef Chennai, International Food Carnival 2016 มีผู้เข้าร่วมงานประมาณกว่า 2,000 คน ประกอบด้วย คณะทูตานุทูต ชาวต่างชาติ นักธุรกิจ บุคคลระดับสูงของเมืองเจนไน สื่อมวลชน และประชาชนชาวอินเดียทั่วไป  

The Royal Thai Consulate-General has organized the food demonstration to people who are interested in Thai food in the Superchef Chennai, International Food Carnival 2016 on 21 February 2016 during 16:00-22:00 hrs.  In organizing the food demonstration, the Consulate has collaborated with Thai Food House Restaurant, the Thai street food restaurant in Chennai. The Thai chef has showed how to cook Phad Thai and Somtam, the Thai-style papaya salad.

More than 2,000 people participated in the Superchef Chennai, International Food Carnival 2016. Those included diplomatic corps, celebrities, media and Chennai people.
