เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2558  นาง Pricilla Stephan ตำแหน่ง Reporter จากนิตยสาร Health and Beauty และ Dr. Martha Grisilda Renga Swamy ตำแหน่ง Special Editor จากนิตยสาร Valar Thozhil Magazine ซึ่งเป็นนิตยสารด้านไลฟ์ไสตล์ภาษาทมิฬ ได้พบหารือกับนางสาวพรพิมล สุคันธวณิช รองกงสุลใหญ่ เพื่อแสดงความประสงค์จะเข้าร่วมโครงการนำสื่อมวลชนอินเดียเยือนไทย ระหว่างวันที่ 23-28  กันยายน 2558

การเดินทางเยือนไทยของผู้แทนจากทั้งสองนิตยสารในครั้งนี้ มีกำหนดการเข้าร่วมงาน World Spa & Well being Convention (WSWC 2015) และเยี่ยมชมโรงเรียนแพทย์แผนโบราณวัดพระเชตุพนฯ (วัดโพธิ์) ซึ่งมีชื่อเสียงและได้รับการยอมรับทั้งภายในและต่างประเทศด้านการนวดแผนไทย และ Opium Spa ซึ่งเป็นสปาที่มีชื่อเสียงของไทย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ที่กรุงเทพมหานคร

สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองเจนไน เห็นว่า โครงการนำสื่อมวลชนอินเดียเยือนไทยจะมีส่วนทำให้สื่อมวลชนอินเดียได้รับความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทยมากขึ้น และสามารถนำเสนอบทความเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะด้านศักยภาพของประเทศไทยด้านการจัดการสปาและการนวดแผนไทย ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับอินเดียต่อไป โดยการเดินทางของคณะผู้สื่อข่าวคณะนี้ ถือเป็นครั้งที่ ๖ และเป็นครั้งสุดท้ายที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนงบประมาณจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศภายในปีงบประมาณนี้

On 27 August 2015, Ms. Pricilla Stephan, Reporter from Health and Beauty Magazine and Dr. Martha Grisilda Renga Swamy, Special Editor from Valar Thozhil Magazine, the lifestyle magazines in Tamil, met Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General, to discuss about  the participation of the representatives from the two magazines in the "Reporter Visit to Thailand Program" during 23-28 September 2015.

The representatives from Health and Beauty Magazine and Valar Thozhil Magazine  will  have the opportunity to participate in World Spa & Well being Convention (WSWC 2015)  and visit Thai Traditional Medical School (Wat Pho) which is very famous both in Thailand and abroad on Thai traditional massage and the Opium Spa, the famous spa in Bangkok.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General wishes that the program will help strengthen the relationship between Thailand and India. Moreover, it is highly expected that the coverage made by the invited Indian reporters will be as a bridge linking Thailand and India and the people of our two countries to learn and understand more about each other as well as will be giving an opportunity for further enhancing the economic relations among the spa and traditional massage business circles.
