เมื่อวันที่ 7 พฤษภาคม 2558 นาง Selvanayagi Senniyappan ตำแหน่ง Assistant Director ของ Bulletin of Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO)  ได้พบหารือกับนางสาวพรพิมล สุคันธวณิช รองกงสุลใหญ่ เพื่อแสดงความประสงค์จะเข้าร่วมโครงการนำสื่อมวลชนอินเดียด้านเศรษฐกิจเยือนไทยระหว่างวันที่ 11-14 พ.ค. 2558 ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมช่วงแรกของโครงการฯ

การเดินทางเยือนไทยของผู้แทนจาก FIEO ครั้งนี้ มีกำหนดการเข้าร่วมงาน SUBCON Thailand 2015 เยี่ยมชมนิคมอุตสาหกรรมและโรงงานผลิตรถยนต์ในไทย รวมทั้งจะได้มีโอกาสสัมภาษณ์ผู้บริหารจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุนของไทย และผู้แทนบริษัท TATA Motors (Thailand) ด้วย

สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองเจนไน เห็นว่า โครงการนำสื่อมวลชนอินเดียเยือนไทยจะมีส่วนทำให้สื่อมวลชนอินเดียได้รับความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทยมากขึ้น และสามารถนำเสนอบทความเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทย โอกาสด้านการค้าและการลงทุน ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับอินเดียต่อไป

On 7 May 2015, Ms. Selvanayagi Senniyappan, Assistant Director of Bulletin of Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO)  met Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General, to discuss on the participation of FIEO in the first leg of the "Reporter Visit to Thailand Program" during 11-14 May 2015.

In the first leg of the program, the representative from Bulletin of FIEO will  have the opportunity to participate in SUBCON Thailand 2015 and visit Thai automobile manufacturers in Thailand and Rojana Industrial Park as well as make an interview with executives from Board of Thailand Investment and representatives from TATA Motors (Thaiand).

The Royal Thai Consulate-General wishes that the program will help strengthen the relationship between Thailand and India. Moreover, it is highly expected that the coverage made by the invited Indian reporters will be as a bridge linking Thailand and India and the people of our two countries to learn and understand more about each other as well as will be giving an opportunity for further enhancing the economic relations among the business circles.
