เมื่อวันที่ 3 มีนาคม 2558  นางสาวพรพิมล สุคันธวณิช  รองกงสุลใหญ่ รักษาราชการแทนกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองเจนไน ได้เป็นประธาน เปิดงาน Thailand Business Matching ณ โรงแรม ITC Grand Chola  ระหว่างเวลา 10.00 -15.00 น. โดยมีนายธราดล ทองเรือง ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ ณ เมืองเจนไน (สคร.) หรือ Thai Trade Center  นาย C.S. Muthu Subramaniyan ตำแหน่ง President of India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry และนาง Parveen Papa ตำแหน่ง Chairperson of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)  Ladies Organization Chennai Chapter เข้าร่วมกล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงาน

การจัดกิจกรรม Business Matchiing ดังกล่าว สถานกงสุลใหญ ณ เมืองเจนไน ร่วมกับ Thai Trade Center ผนึกกำลังร่วมกันจัดขึ้น และได้รับความร่วมมือย่างดีจากหน่วยงานภาคธุรกิจของอินเดียตอนใต้ ซึ่งได้แก่ Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)  FICCI Ladies Organization Chennai Chapter และ India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry  โดยมีศูนย์ธุรกิจสัมพันธ์ กรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ให้การสนับสนุนงบประมาณการจัดงาน

วัตถุประสงค์หลักของการจัดกิจกรรม  Business Matching ครั้งนี้ ก็เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบการทั้งไทยและอินเดียได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น และพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางการค้าการลงทุนระหว่างกันในอนาคต 

กิจกรรม Thailand Business Matching  มีนักธุรกิจฝ่ายไทยในสาขาอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับ เสื้อผ้าเครื่องนุ่งห่ม ของขวัญเครื่องใช้ เครื่องประดับตกแต่งบ้าน เครื่องใช้ในบ้านและเครื่องครัว และสินค้าสุขภาพและความงาม รวมกว่า 50 บริษัท พร้อมคณะผู้แทนจากกระทรวงพาณิชย์ และศูนย์ส่งเสริมศิลปาชีพระหว่างประเทศ และนักธุรกิจฝ่ายอินเดียจากสาขาต่างๆ  รวมทั้งสิ้นกว่า 150 คน เข้าร่วมงานฯ

On 3 March 2015,  Ms.Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General, presided over the opening ceremony of Thailand Business Matching at ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai during 10:00 - 14:00 hrs. Attending the event and addressing welcome speech were Mr. Tharadol Thongruang, Director of Thai Trade Center, Ms. Parveen Papa, Chairperson of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)  Ladies Organization Chennai Chapter, and Mr. C.S. Muthu Subramaniyan, President of India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai and Thai Trade Center is partnering with Southern Indian business circles in organizing Thailand Business Matching, namely Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),  FICCI Ladies Organization Chennai Chapter and  India-ASEAN-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  The event is also funded by Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

Thailand Business Matching aims to promote Thailand-India Economic Relations and provide a platform for Thai and Indian businesspersons to exchange ideas and contacts as well as valuable market insights.

Thai businesspersons from more than 50 Thai companies in sectors of food and beverage, gems and jewelry, gift and decorative items, health and beauty and household and kitchenware products and Indian businesspersons of around 150 persons join the matching.
