On 11 June 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai, together with Ms. Setu Sharma, Manager of International Programs at T-Hub, participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by Bangkok Bank to highlight the economic potential of South India and opportunities for Thai businesses to expand their market presence and investments in the region. Representatives from relevant Thai government agencies and the private sector also attended.

During the session, the Consulate-General presented an overview of South India’s economic development and its role as a major hub for technology, innovation, manufacturing, and investment. T-Hub shared insights into Telangana’s startup ecosystem and support mechanisms available for Thai entrepreneurs interested in the Indian market.

The event, jointly organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai and Bangkok Bank, aimed to promote greater awareness of trade, investment, and innovation opportunities in South India while strengthening business linkages between Thailand and India.
