The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai, in partnership with the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), hosted the Thai Movie Night 2025 on June 27-28, 2025. The event, held at the Tagore Film Centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, featured the screening of 3 Thai films:

(1) Wiman Nam – The Paradise of Thorns (co-produced by GDH 559 Co., Ltd. and JAI Studio)

(2) Low Season (by GDH 559 Co., Ltd.)

(3) 404 Sukhee Nirand…Run Run (by Sahamongkol Film International)

On the opening night, the Consulate-General screened Wiman Nam, a film chosen for its highlighting of social issues and legal struggles of the LGBTQ+ community in Thailand. This screening was in alignment with Prime Month, in raising awareness and embracing diversity.

The Thai Film Festival received an overwhelming response, attracting over 350 Indian and international attendees, filling the venue to capacity for every screening.
