On 25 April 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai organized a Thai cooking demonstration for students at the Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management.
Chef Wikanda Srivangrach served as the guest instructor, delivering a lecture on the selection of ingredients for Thai cuisine and demonstrating authentic Thai cooking techniques. The activity aimed to help Indian students gain a better understanding of Thai culinary methods and to promote a variety of traditional Thai dishes in their original flavors.
On this occasion, Dr. Sharat Chauhan, Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Puducherry, was also honored to attend and sample the Thai dishes
