On 14-16 July 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai organized a Thai cooking demonstration and workshop at Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Kovalam, Kerela. Chef Nongkran Tanong served as the instructor, sharing knowledge on selecting ingredients for Thai cuisine and providing a demonstration of Thai cooking techniques.

The event aimed to encourage Indian hospitality students to learn the tips and techniques of Thai cooking, while also promoting greater awareness of the diversity of Thai dishes that preserve their authentic flavors.
