On Sunday 14 August 2016, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai in collaboration with the Thai Students Association in Bangalore organized a ceremony to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand on the occasion of Her Majesty 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 12th August 2016 at the Dayananda Sagar Institutions in Bangalore for the Thai communities in the state of Karnataka and neighbouring cities to celebrate this auspicious occasion. The program consisted of performances by the Thai students which include a dance and quiz competition as well as an award ceremony to students who submitted a short essay under the theme ‘The mother in Your Heart’. Over 300 Thai nationals attended and participated in the celebrations.
