On 12 August 2016 Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Consul-General, preside over the opening ceremony of Thailand Week 2016 organized by Thai Trade Centre and Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) at the hall of Express Avenue Mall during 12-14 August 2016.

The objectives of Thailand  Week 2016 is to promote trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and India by showcasing  products from Thailand including health and beauty products, food and beverage, furniture and fashion and accessories.

As part of the event, The Royal Thai Consulate in Chennai had brought the Thai performance to perform the Thai classical dance and Thai food cooking demonstration. The activities gained a lot of attentions from attendants.
