Delegation from Ministry of Industry visit factory of Thai Summit Autoparts India Private Ltd. in Tamil Nadu

On 26 June 2015, an official delegation from the Ministry of Industry headed by Mr. Verasak Supprasert, Director of International Industrial Economics, paid a visit to the factory of Thai Summit Autoparts India Private Ltd located in Vallam Vadagal SIPCOT Industrial Park, Kancheepuram District, around 46 kilometers from Chennai City, Tamil Nadu State.

Mr. Verasak Supprasert was accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) along with Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General from the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai, and he was received by Mr. Somchai Chongcharoenthaweesuk , CEO of Thai Summit Autoparts India Private, and the company’s management team.  

The delegation was shown a brief presentation on the company profile and the collaboration with Yamaha (Japan) Co.,Ltd., as the only one supplier from Thailand, providing the body parts and frame parts to Yamaha’s motorcycles and scooter productions in Yamaha Vendor Park along with the other eight Japanese companies in the industrial park.

Before visiting Thai Summit Autoparts India Private Ltd., the delegation paid a visit to Thai furniture company, Rockworth, located in Sri City, the Planned Integrated Business City located 55 km North of Chennai, as well as meeting with the executives of Sri City and his team on the same day.
