In 11 May 2015, Mr. S G Walde, Hon Secretary of  Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (India) or AFST (I), and Representative from Indian Food Industry Magazine, met Ms. Pornpimol Sugandhavanija, Deputy Consul-General, to discuss on the participation of AFST and Indian Food Industry Magazine in the second leg of the "Reporter Visit to Thailand Program" during 19-21 May 2015.

In this second leg of the program, the Royal Thai Consulate-General has been working closely with the Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (India), Indian Food Industry Magazine, Agribusiness & Food Industry Magazine and Indian Food Packer Journal and those magazines and journals have nominated their representatives to join the program.

The 4 Indian reporters/่journalists joining the program will have the opportunity to participate in THAIFEX – World of Food Asia 2015 and visit Thai food processing manufacturer, Halal Food Science Center as well as make an interview with executives from Ministry of Commerce.

The aim of the program is to help strengthen the economic ties between Thailand and India. Moreover, it is highly expected that the coverage made by the invited Indian reporters will help link Thai and Indian to learn and understand more about each other.
